Day 25 – Rode over the cavaletti poles we lunged over yesterday. He tried to convince me we should skip it, but then conceded and went around a few times no problem.
I want to keep him from getting too sore for the rest of the training period, so we only did about 20 minutes of work, and then hacked down to the end of the farm to get Sam. I thought it’d be fun to try our hand at ponying, because what stallion doesn’t encounter ponying opportunities from time to time? Sam stood while I explained to Luc that he was supposed to lead Sam without talking to him, and then we were on our way with surprisingly few stud moments.
What else can we fit in during out remaining time? 😀😊
