Day 26 – Rode in the polo field today. We have to pass a field with geldings and mares in it, and he went by them no problem.
Was walking and trotting well, canter right lead no problem, but discovered it’s great fun to run through the shoulder tracking left. Gave me wrong lead 3 times tracking left, but after rebalancing and closing the outside hard we were good to go. The polo field has taller than normal grass, so everything was much harder as he had to lift more with each step.
As we walked past the field with horses in it some of them started to talk, and Luc really wanted to talk back. We circled until he focused back on me, and then finished up trotting the circle with cavalettis that we’ve done the past couple of days.

Kept it short and sweet to prevent soreness. I think he enjoyed himself today.
